Our hearts are breaking for you, yet there are no words to take your pain away. Jesus was a man and felt all the emotions you are having - pain, hurt and yes, anger. Run to Him now, for He is comfort. I can just picture Aubrey cradled in Gods arms and her reaching out to touch his face - no vents, no tubes, no leaks and no pain. May this give you some peace. We continue to pray for you and your family as you deeply grieve the loss of one special baby girl.
We love you,
Chris & Rose

I am a co-worker of Matt’s cousin, Kurt. Although I never entered any comments, I have been following this blog - keeping Aubrey Judith in my prayers. I’ve smiled at her small successes and worried about her setbacks. My sincere, sincere sympathy is extended to this sweet baby’s parents and her entire family.

Dear Matt & Carrie,
Our hearts are heavy with the sad burden that you have in yours. Even though we never got to meet AJ in person, you both made her a very real part of our lives by sharing all of her ups & downs with us. We cheered with you & we cried with you. Just know that she is no longer in pain & that she is some other child’s guardian angel that has cystic fibrosis. She is probably telling them, “your mom & dad are gonna freak out when you do this or when this happens, but that’s ok. I did that too! Just know that they love you very much, just like my mom & dad, who by the way, are the BEST mom & dad in the world!” A child couldn’t have been more loved than she is & no child could have put more joy in your lives like AJ did. May you find peace in all of the happy memories you hold dear in your hearts.
May God Bless you all,
Love,
Aunt Pat & Uncle Den

Dear Carrie and Matt:
We just returned from our UP vacation and read Dannelle’s email about Aubrey’s passing. My heart hurts for both of you and your families. Your daughter touched so many lives in the short time she was on earth. She made us appreciate, and not take for granted, the healthy children and grandchildren we’ve been given. She also made us realize that sometimes the most important things we are given, have a very short time-frame; we need to cherish them while we can. She was a beautiful child and she will always have a place in the hearts of those who prayed so hard for her recovery.
I can’t imagine the pain you are going through right now and all I can offer is my heartfelt sympathy and prayers — which seems like very little at a time like this. I pray that God will watch over you both and comfort you. You were the best parents on earth for sweet Aubrey and God blessed you with her. And even if the time with her was way too short, she was a Gift from God. Rest assured that your precious little angel is sitting in the arms of The Father — forever safe, happy and physically whole. Someday you will be with her again.
Love and God’s Blessings to you both and your families — Lori and Bob

To Carrie & Matt,
Mom and I are so sorry for you loss. Both Aubrey and you have shown tremendous courage in the face of overwhelming sadness. I personally believe Aubrey has shown more courage and character than most of the people I serve with. She truly was a beautiful and happy person. Still she lived the measure life she had to her best. She touched the hearts of so many, and provided all the love she had to give. How she endured God only knows. How you two endured I cannot imagine. Reading back through all the trials and expectations it is again overwhelming. Only to have your hopes dashed. You have shown more courage and maturity in dealing with this than anyone I can imagine. As the pastor said during the ceremony “you don’t get over it, you just deal with it”. You two are certainly doing that. For Mom and I is hard to see you two to have to go through this, yet you have shown great character in dealing with it. Also, you are looking to the future for hope. This is good. Just remember you are not alone. We are here any time.
Love Dad
